NHK reports that Tokyo authorities plan to recommend restricting the operation of bars and restaurants that sell alcohol. Establishments will have to close at 22:00.
Authorities believe that such a decision will be another anti-coronavirus measure in the Japanese capital, where there has been an increase in cases of infection recently.
The recommendation will be valid from November 28 for 20 days. Those institutions that follow it, the authorities will pay a reward — $ 200 a day.
Tokyo residents will also be asked not to go outside unless absolutely necessary.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 130,000 infected people have been identified in Japan and more than 2,000 patients have died.
