Switzerland refuses to close ski resorts

Swiss authorities refuse to close ski resorts after other European countries.

The authorities of a non-EU country justify their decision by saying that Switzerland does not have such a complex epidemic situation as in neighboring countries. Therefore, resorts can be opened if strict anti-coronavirus measures are observed.

However, a dialogue with neighbors is necessary, since some resorts are located simultaneously on the territory of several States.

Recall that on the eve of German Chancellor Angela Merkel demanded that the EU ban the operation of winter resorts in all European countries until January 10, 2021.
